Steve Cormier, Veteran in Broadcast Audio and Video Systems, Joins OSA

Steve Cormier, an entertainment industry professional of more than 35 years, joins OSA as Vice President, Broadcast Services. A Los Angeles native, Cormier will manage broadcast operations for the company, with offices in Las Vegas, Chicago and Nashville.

Steve Cormier began his career as a recording engineer working with artists such as Bruce Hornsby and Keith Urban while earning both Platinum and Gold records. Moving to a local integrator and sound reinforcement company, Cormier was pivotal in the growth for RF audio products in the television market. He then transitioned to Bexel/Audio Specialties where he focused his work on audio and communications for the broadcast market. During his time at Bexel, Cormier’s leadership grew that division tenfold. Cormier took his success to VER where he served as Director of Broadcast Audio and Communications. The division supported millions of dollars in shows and rentals. Upon acquisition of VER by the Production Resource Group, he was promoted to Vice President, Systems Engineering and Operations in the television and film vertical. There Cormier oversaw video systems as well as audio and communications, bringing in over 100 million in annual revenue.

In addition to his vast experience in the industry, Cormier is a member of AES, SMPTE and the Sports Video Group. OSA President & CEO Mario Educate shares, “Steve’s passion in our industry is always customer focused. Combined with the quality of his work on shows and events, he will be a great asset to both our team and clients. We are thrilled to welcome him aboard.”
